Christmas 2008

Bean and the tree. Bibby coming into the Christmas room.

I am finally getting around to posting our Christmas photos. I know it took way too long, but we have been suffering through the flu and colds. Yick! Bean even ended up in the hospital with an i.v. in her little arm due to dehydration from a yucky flu bug she caught. She's all healed up now; although she does still bear a bruise on her arm where the i.v. was. Bibby is on antibiotics for an ear infection, from the same bug. We just seem to have to wait it out though. Every has had this bug (except Mama of course, but I'm just waiting for my turn).

Here are some photos from our Christmas birthday party for Jesus. Yes we even had a cake. It was fun. Probably the first time that Christmas felt more about Jesus' birthday than a mystical Santa/present day.

Singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus.

Blowing out the candles with the Grampas watching.

Bel with an empty plate. Bibby having some cake.

Po's youngest brother and his girlfriend flew in for a couple of weeks and it was fun to spend time with them. We even made it to the wave pool with them. They were very brave to venture a swimming outing with our crazy family of five!

My parents came out and rented a house in town ( for everyone's sanity) for a month. It was a really fun time.

Bean getting a Webkinz (which she named Woof Woof) for a present from Meme. Oh the lure of Webkinz.

Bibby on her Rocking Moose from Meme and Grampapa.

And of course Po's parents came out lots over Christmas since they only live and hour away. And Nana made wonderful Cabage rolls in the Donison family tradition! Yummmm!

Po singing "Felice Navidad"
One neat part of Christmas this year was a "white elephant" sale that Bel and Bean's school had this year. The girls got to buy presents for their family from items that were donated by the school's families. It was so fun to watch the girls give each other their presents and to give us their presents. We as parents, had no idea what they were giving to anyone. Bel got this huge bunny for Bibs and Bean. And they loved it!! Very fun to watch how giving can really be more fun than getting...even for 4 and 6 year olds!

Bean and Bibby loving their present from Bel. So fun to watch them give everyone their presents.

So that was Christmas for us this year. We also had a pageant on Christmas eve. I'll post some of those in the next blog. Off to skating with the girls this morning. They really love it and are getting quite good at it really! As soon as I'm no longer pregnant I'm going to get on the ice with them too!
