It is supposed to be 37'C today with the humidex...Ick. This summer has been so strange. We had a very rainy June. And July was rainy and really hot, with lots of thunder showers and even 2 tornados. Hopefully August will be better...but so far it has been the same with no signs of more pleasant conditions.

P and I were talking about what our summers were like growing up. We would be outside all day...no hat, no sunscreen...just play, play, play. Now we have to glob the girls with loads of sunscreen, hats, sun suits that cover 90% of their body and they can only go out before 10am and after 3pm when the sun isn't so hot! Plus, they need to be watched the whole time because you can't be too careful these days, even in small towns, as we saw this week with the abduction of the 10yr old boy in SK. I'm not complaining...I'm happy to be able to be there for my girls. It's just so different from when we grew up.
