Homeschool Day 1

I have decided that it might be fun (and educational) to keep a running log on our homeschooling adventures. We are starting today and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our curriculum! We ordered Sonlight again and can't wait to start! So far this morning Bel has checked the weather for the day and given us her report over breakfast. Bean has read Bibby a book (The Bike Lesson - Berenstain Bears). Bean (5) is reading at a grade 2 level even though she is only a Kindergartener. Go Bean Go!!! Bibs is counting math blocks and is working on colours and numbers. Baby Bee is playing...come on...she's a baby! : )

I called the school this morning to report their absence. The kids were very excited to watch the bus go by!!!

Yay! Thank you Lord for the peace and joy that has come through this decision making process and the joy that I get in watching the girls interact and show more patience and love with each other already! Since last week was March break we got a head start at kicking the stress of school and the pressure of forced peer learning to the curb!

On the schedule for today we will be making up our calendar and working on Math-U-See. Paul is going to lead us in a house blessing and some singing. And of course waiting at the window for that FedEx truck to arrive!!!

Hooray!!!

Go team!!
